A person who practices Shamanism makes journeys to non-ordinary reality in an altered state of
consciousness. The practice of shamanism exists on all inhabited continents.
Shamanism under-lays all the other spiritual traditions on the planet and involves the journey
to other worlds in an altered state of consciousness for purposes of accessing wisdom and healing.
It is so exciting to see so many people in our culture today turning to the ancient practice of shamanism.
It is a time for all of us on the planet today to own our spiritual authority and to find helpful tools

During these classes you will learn the history of Core Shamanism, what Core Shamanism is it used for,
what non-ordinary reality is, the different worlds and dimensions you will travel to during shamanic journey
time, how to meet your animal spirit guides (i.e. power animals), how to meet your spirit teachers, the do's
and don't of the shamanic practices, how to access "wisdom and guidance that can answer questions you have
about your life".
The practice of Shamanic Journeying is different then Mediumship and Psychic or Spirit Channeling in that the
practitioners soul takes flight to bring back information and/or help.
Shamanism is practiced for purposes that are not self-serving. However, a practitioner
may journey for self-healing and development. In this sense we we are healing ourselves as one of the
whole, and, once healed, we can share that knowledge and healing.

Psychopomp pronounced [sahy-koh-pomp] is described as is a person who conducts spirits or souls to the other world,
a conductor of souls to the afterworld, their heaven. A Psychopomp is someone who escorts souls home.
Around the world shamans and shamanic practitioners are well-known for their role as a psychopomp, therefore many people who are
interested in caring for the souls of the dying and/or stuck souls will want to consider Shamanic Training Methods in Psychopomp.
Some people are naturally born with the ability to help the soul of a person to cross over at the time of death, or assist
those spirits and souls who need further guidance after physical form has transitioned.
An important point to note is that psychopomps are not the same as mediums. Their primary function is not to recomment
the living with the dead, but to help the soul of an individual cross over to a safe place (i.e. their heaven) after death.
